The Code of Honor of a student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners present the Honor Code of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to foreign students.
The Honor Code of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is designed to form high ethical standards and values among students, faculty and staff of the university. It includes the basic principles of academic integrity, respect for others, responsibility and striving for self-improvement.
In introducing the honor code to international students, the following aspects are emphasized:
1. Academic honesty - students are expected to exercise academic integrity by avoiding plagiarism and cheating.
2. Respect for others - it is important to behave respectfully toward faculty and fellow students, providing a basis for constructive communication.
3. Responsibility - students are responsible for their actions and behaviors, understanding their consequences.
4. Pursuit of knowledge - motivation for self-improvement and continuous learning, development of critical thinking and analytical skills.
Teachers also explain the importance of these principles for successful study and integration into the academic environment of the university, which helps international students to better understand the university culture and adapt to the new learning environment.
The lecturers noted that knowledge and observance of these norms will help students not only in the university, but also in their future professional activities. Students accepted the information with interest and asked many questions, which indicates their readiness to perceive and respect university norms.
