The aim of the lesson: To bring up love and interest to the subject, to respect each other, to create an English atmosphere in the classroom.
To expand knowledge of worldview, to develop intellectual abilities, to enrich their vocabulary
To develop the pupils habits of the oral speech, creative and logical abilities, understanding.
The type of the lesson: competition
Methods of teaching: training, explanation, demonstration, interaction
The equipment of the lesson: diagrams on the tasks, pictures, posters, computers interactive board.

I) Organization moment
Good afternoon, dear boys and girls, teachers and guests! Welcome to our intellectual game «Lucky chance». Today we have come together for the competition between experts of English language. It is my honor and duty to declare our competition open. I think we should create a friendly atmosphere.
Let fortune be with you.
Be always strong and calm
The games won’t do the harm.
So, always like the games.
During our game you can see pupils skills in speaking

Now, let’s start. Dear participants, our game has 6 stages:

4. Polyglot
5. Famous people
6. Riddles
7. Speaking

II. The main part
Let’s begin! The first stage of our game is called « Introduction».
The pupils will introduce themselves according to their team names

So, dear jury, I ask you to announce the 1st results.
II. Now, the second game «General informations». Let’s see who is the fastest. Dear participants you should answer the questions, but remember who raises the card first and gives the right answer will receive a score.
1. What is the official name of Britain?
2. What parts does the UK consist of?
3. What is the symbol of England?
4. What is the capital of Australia?
5. What is the official language of Ireland?
6. Where is the Statue of Liberty situated?
7. What is the capital of Brasil?
8. What is the national sport in America?
9. Whose monument stands in the center of Trafalgar square?
10. What are the colours of American flag?
III. Our next game is «Places of interest»

You must answer the questions about places of interes of Astana and London
V. Our next stage is “Polyglot”where we can see your speaking abilities in Kazakh, Russian, English.

5. One man no man. Жалғыз ағаш орман емес. Один в поле не воин.
6. Great boast ____ small roast. Айдағаның екі ешкі, ысқырығы жер жара. Звону много, толку мало.
7. First think ____ then speak. Айтпас бұрын ойлан.
Ойнап сөйлесең де, ойлап сөйле.
Сначала думай, потом говори.
8. Better late ____ than never. Ештен кеш жақсы. Лучше поздно чем никогда.
9. East or West, _____home is best. Туған үйдей үй болмас. Везде хорошо, но дома лучше.
10. Health is ____ above wealth. Денсаулық – зор байлық. Здоровье – главное богатство.
IV. The next stage is “Famous People” where we will talk about Kazakh and English famous people.

VI. The next stage is “Riddles”

9. There are a lot of interesting books, magazines, newspapers. All pupils and teachers like to go there. What is it? (a library)
VII. And the last stage is “Speaking”

Dear friends, the last part of our game has come to the end. Well, our jury is counting the scores. I invite the Chairman of our jury to announce the winner of the competition.
