Theme: “Omar likes English”

The aim of the lesson:

V. A monologue: “My friend”
This is Mike. He’s from Manchester. It’s a big city in the north of England. Mike is twelve. He has one sister. His favourite school subject is Maths and PE. He’s good at football. He likes computer games and collecting stamps. He has got a dog. Its name’s Jack. His favourite fruit is a banana. His favourite vegetable is a tomato.

1/ Read and translate.
2/ Answer the questions.
1) What’s his name?
2) Where does he from?
3) How old is Mike?
4) What’s his favourite subject?
5) What is he good at?
6) Has he got a dog?
7) What’s its name?
8) What is his favourite fruit and vegetable?

VI. Presentation of the new theme: “Omar likes English”
1. Teacher acquainted the theme and the aim of the lesson.

IX. Game: “Picasso dictation”
1. This is a table. There is a plate on the table. There some apples on the plate. The apples are red and green. There are many bananas on the table. The bananas are yellow. There aren’t any pears.

X. Game: “I for you and you for me”.
Using pictures children should give questions for each other.
For example: Are there any apples on the picture?

XI. Conclusion: “Magic basket”
Children should answer the questions.

XII. Home task: Ex 10-11p. 92. Write.
